These positions are for a First shift RF/ Digital Electronics Technician for the Product Test Organization at Owego, NY facility. Candidates must be able to test and diagnose digital, analog, and RF electronics. The position will also be responsible for testing and troubleshooting digital, analog, and RF, hybrid microcircuits, components, board and box level commercial and military products; using Hewlett Packard /Agilent / Keysight Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, power meters, frequency counters, etc.; use of Oscilloscopes, along with various models of multi-meter's. Knowledge of how to make VSWR & cable loss measurements in high frequency range is desirable. Standard Job Description : Sets up test apparatus and conducts tests of electronic assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences; lays out and assembles units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications. Adjusts and calibrates systems as required; modifies electronic equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams and sketches. Corrects malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed. Uses hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Determines types of tests to be performed, approves and suggests modifications to testing equipment, and analyzes test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment. Assists engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products and recommends product improvements or manufacturing modifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Basic Qualifications : RF, Analog and Digital Electronics experience. Experience and knowledge with HP / Agilent Equipment , Oscilloscope , High Frequency measurements, Testing, Troubleshooting, Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers. Some weekend work maybe required A Degree is not Required Experience in applying a RF electronics technician’s skill set is Required.
